Burlin " Sunny" Lee Walls Sr.

Burlin "Sunny" Walls Sr., 74, of Thicket TX passed away at his residence on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Mr. Walls was born February 17, 1947, in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Burlin Walls & Doris Stafford. He moved to Thicket in 1983. He retired from his own business as a diesel mechanic and he was employed by several local businesses including H&O services & Shannon Welding. He was also a veteran of United States Navy AE3 from 1964-1967.

Mr. Walls is preceded in death by his father and loving mother; sister, Shirley Sue Walls; brothers, Donnie Walls, Dennis Walls, and Rodger Walls; and his nephew, Rodger Walls Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 48 years Betty of Thicket, TX; his daughters, Patricia Granger, and husband, Jimmy of Tarkington, TX, Barbara Singleton and husband Steven of Thicket, TX, Theresa Galland and husband, Warren of Tarkington, TX; sons, Burlin L. Walls Jr. and wife Delores of Tarkington, TX and Snapper Castilaw and wife B J of Thicket. Charlie Smith and wife Shawn of Crosby; brothers, Terry Walls of LA, Jerry Walls and wife Sylvia of Houston, TX, Danny Walls and wife Sissy of Houston, TX, sisters, Karen Coats of Humble, TX, and Joyce Holt and husband Jeff of Gun Barrel City, TX; Brothers, Duff Nelson and wife Linda of Thicket TX and Nathan Nelson of Votaw, TX grandchildren, Seth, Hollis, Darian, Erin, Trey, Rusty, Morgan, Coby, and Jolie; great-grandchildren, Sophie, Cheslee, Gentry, and Wesley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Twin Lakes in Cleveland, TX at 11:00 A.M.
