Claudia Mae Arnold, born on September 29, 1943, in Nacogdoches, Texas, left this world on July 6, 2025, in Nederland, Texas, yet her vibrant spirit will forever warm the hearts of all who knew her. A beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Claudia's legacy is one of love and selflessness, embodying the essence of family values that she held dear throughout her life.
Claudia, known to many as a caring and nurturing mom, never met a stranger. Her home, adorned with her signature touch of decorative charm, was a welcoming haven for all. Whether it was the aroma of her delicious southern cooking wafting through the air or the delicate flutter of butterflies she loved so dearly, each moment spent with Claudia encapsulated her generous spirit and the comfort she exuded. She was not only a devoted military wife for over two decades but also a godly Christian woman who prioritized her family above all else, consistently putting their needs before her own.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Kelly Genell Laurents and her husband Terry, and Cynthia Lynn Clark and her husband Tommy, each of whom carry forward her legacy of care and kindness. Claudia was cherished by her brothers, Curtis Ables and his wife Dorothy, Bill Ables and his wife Nancy, and her sister, Robbie Nell Rust, and her husband Paul, who will forever hold dear memories of their precious sister. Her grandchildren, Teri LeAnn Byars and her husband David, Mason Clark, and Hayden Clark, along with her great-grandchild, Kameron Byars, brought immense joy to her life, and she took pride in watching them grow.
Claudia is preceded in death by her cherished parents, Robert William Ables and Genell Reese, her husband, Dudley Arnold, along with her brothers, John Lee Ables and Donald Wayne Ables, and her sister, Alice Singleton. A loyal companion to all, she is also preceded by her beloved fur baby, Snuggles, who undoubtedly brought her comfort and companionship.
