Esther Laverne Brown

Esther Laverne Brown sadly passed away on April 26, 2024, at the age of 68. She was born in Liberty, TX, on May 28, 1955, to the late Edward and Dorothy Cherry.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was always there when we needed her. She also had great friends and was a resident of Saratoga, TX. She retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she was a Neonatal ICU nurse for 30 years. She enjoyed going to the casino or out to dinner with her friends, and she loved the beach. She also loved to travel with her family, making memories that we will always cherish.
Esther is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Jesse Mike Brown; son, Christopher Lee Cherry; father, Edward Ernest Cherry; mother, Dorothy Mae Cherry. She is survived by her son, Jonathan Brown, wife, Trina of Batson; daughter, Jami Brown, husband, Asa Youngblood of Hull; granddaughters, Ashleigh Cherry of Washington, and Emma Cherry of Dayton; grandson, Ayden Brown of Batson; 3 great-grandchildren, Liam Roberto, Luna Esperanza and Jenaro Lee Equihua of Washington; and her sisters, Dorothy Davison of Hardin and Peggy Ericson of Hardin.
Graveside services will take place on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 2:00pm officiated by Pastor Emerson Barnhill at Guedry Cemetery, Batson, Texas.
