Faye Ellen Johnson

Faye Ellen Johnson,79, a beloved homemaker whose life was a testament to love and devotion, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in Liberty, Texas. Born on November 28, 1945, in Lamesa, Texas, Faye dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm, inviting home filled with joy.

Faye was the heart and soul of her household, revered for her loving, caring nature. She was always there when needed, particularly for her only son, Tim, whom she doted upon with unyielding affection. This bond was a cornerstone of her life, and she exemplified what it meant to be a devoted mother. Her culinary talents shone through in the annual tradition of baking her husband's favorite Gooseberry Cobbler, a delicious treat that brought the family together and served as a sweet reminder of her unwavering love.

In addition to her cherished role as a mother, Faye took great pleasure in her hobbies, which included tending to her garden and yardwork, activities that allowed her to immerse herself in the beauty of nature. She also enjoyed assisting her husband, Dean Johnson, with renovating their home, tirelessly working alongside him to create a space that reflected their shared dreams. A devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, Faye reveled in every moment spent with them - who brought her immense joy and pride.

Faye is survived by her son, Tim Johnson, and wife Lori; her grandchildren, Ona Johnson, Shelbi Johnson, Magen Davis, Samantha Johnson, Emily Johnson, and Matthew Johnson; along with 3 great grandchildren.

Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Kelly Walter Greathouse and Ida Chapman, who instilled in her the values she carried throughout her life. She is also reunited in spirit with her beloved husband, Dean Johnson, and her brothers: Clyde Greathouse, Walter Greathouse, Kenneth Greathouse, Weldon Greathouse, and Rex Greathouse, who together formed a legacy of love and strength.
