Floyd Burl McSpadden III, a dedicated family man passed away peacefully at his home in Village Mills on January 24 2026, at the age of 65. Born on February 25, 1960, Floyd was a man who devoted his life to the love of his family and the hard work that provided for them. His unwavering commitment to his loved ones was evident in everything he did.

Floyd had a passion for the Dallas Cowboys, proudly supporting his team as an avid fan. His collection of Dallas Cowboy memorabilia was a testament to his enthusiasm for both the sport and the bonding moments spent watching games with loved ones. Family movie and game nights were a treasured tradition in his household, where laughter resonated and memories were created, all centered around his beloved family and friends.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Rachel McSpadden, who stood by his side through every challenge and every joy they encountered together. Floyd was the proud of his daughters, Latonia Lee Odusanya and grandchildren, Katey and Gairet Atkinson, Kayla and Husband Jay Clardy and Family, and Reagan Collins.

His legacy will also live on through his granddaughters, Kylie McSpadden and Erika Fregia, who cherished every moment spent with their grandfather, drawing strength and wisdom from his guidance and love.

Floyd’s siblings, Lougene and her husband Randall Fregia, Reggie McSpadden, and Alana McSpadden, hold to their hearts the memories of a brother whose spirit and dedication shaped their lives. He was a beloved uncle to a host of nieces and nephews who admired him for his generosity and kindhearted nature, as well as a dear friend to many who were touched by his warmth.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Floyd, Jr. and Lillian McSpadden, his son, Floyd McSpadden IV, his brother, Allen West, his sister, Charity Unruh, granddaughter, Emilee Brooke Dison and a nephew. Each of these losses left an indelible mark on his heart, but Floyd faced each day with courage, always finding solace in the love surrounding him.
