Obituary

Fred Richard Hunt, 81, of Saratoga, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024.  He was born on June 25, 1942, in Ft. Worth, TX to the late Grace Maxine and Fred Wilson Hunt.

Richard is preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers, Jimmy Charles Hunt and Larry Ray Hunt; and daughter, Rebecca Ann Hilton.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carolyn Dianne Hunt; Sons, Billy Scott Hunt of Pueblo West, CO, Bryan Wilson Hunt of Saratoga, TX, and Jerry Dwayne Hunt, and wife Rachel of Saratoga, TX; Grand Children, Jeremy Boling and wife Stephanie, Justin Boling and wife Diana, Katie Wolfsberger and husband Travis, Madison Grace Hunt, and Morgan Scott Hunt; Great-Grandchildren, Jonah, Liana, Eric, Emma, Olivia, Jase, and Sean.

A gathering of Mr. Hunt’s family and friends will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Batson United Pentecostal Church, 24618 FM 770 South, Batson, Texas. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, May 22,2024, at 11:00 AM at Batson United Pentecostal Church, 24618 FM 770 South, Batson, Texas with Pastor James Coots, Rev. Lonnie Jordan and Rev. Jason Carr officiating.   A military funeral honors and committal service will take place following at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.

Serving as pallbearers are Morgan Hunt, Travis Wolfsberger, Dearl Nash, Jacob Nash, Berlon Coots and Joshua Coots. Honorary pallbearers are Dwain Hart, Wayne Fontnow, Robert Storey, and Robert West.

I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to be with y’all for his services so I could share with you how much I loved him. He was so kind, and attentive. I have so many sweet memories of him.
