Jane Stacy Cox, born on April 23, 1959, left this world on May 28, 2026, at her home in Liberty, Texas. Her departure marks the end of a life lived with an extraordinary spirit—a woman whose heart was a beacon of love, faith, and kindness to all who knew her.
Stacy devoted much of her working life to roles that brought her immense joy and lifelong friendships. Her tenure as a postal carrier allowed her to touch the lives of those within her community daily. Known affectionately as a people person, Stacy’s warm smile and radiant spirit made her a beloved presence on every delivery route. Stacy embraced a position at Liberty Teachers Federal Credit Union, where she continued to nurture deep bonds with coworkers and patrons alike. Both workplaces enriched her life with cherished friendships that she held dear to her heart.
At the center of Stacy’s world was her profound love for her family and her steadfast faith in Jesus. These two pillars shaped her soul and guided her through life with grace and humility. Stacy poured her heart into caring for and nurturing those she loved, a role she considered her proudest accomplishment. Her legacy of compassion and devotion lives on vividly in her loving husband, James “Jim” Cox; her son, Christopher Cox; and her daughter, Kristen Monk, along with her husband William “Asa.” Stacy’s spirit endures in her precious grandchildren: Greyson Cox, Mia Hubert, Karsyn Hubert, Grace Monk, Ryan Monk, Ava Monk, and Lila Monk. Surrounded by numerous extended family members and dear friends, her warmth and light touched more lives than words can fully express.
Stacy also found peace and solace in quiet moments by the beach, a place where she could embrace the gentle lapping of waves and time with family. Those who knew her speak of a soul who illuminated every room with a brightness that could not be dimmed.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Junius Rennolds and Lilian Dorothy Salmerno Rennolds, who no doubt smile down with pride on the remarkable woman she became.
Friends and family will gather to honor Stacy’s memory with a graveside service at Hardin Chapel Cemetery in Liberty, TX, located at 1005 FM 834, on June 2, 2026, from 11:00 AM with Kerry Cox officiating. Though Jane Stacy Cox may no longer walk among us, the love she sowed and the light she shared remain eternally alive in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Her memory is a precious gift—one of compassion, faith, and an unwavering devotion to those she held most dear. Jane Stacy Cox was, and always will be, a true beacon of love in this world.
