Jennie Lee Haynie, a beloved matriarch known for her vibrant spirit and boundless love, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2026, in Baytown, TX. Born on July 17, 1931, in Hull-Daisetta, Texas, Jennie lived a life full of warmth, color, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 3, 2026, at Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas. Officiating will be Vincent Hartsfield. Burial will follow at Cooke Cemetery in Liberty, Texas.

Visitation time will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am, Friday, July 3, 2026, at Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas.

Following the services for Jennie, the family would like to invite guests to a reception being held in the Fellowship Hall of South Liberty Methodist Church, 3410 Oilfield Road, Liberty, Texas 77575.

A true firecracker with a big personality, Jennie was sassy yet sweet and loving, always carrying herself with grace and class. She was a beautiful, selfless soul who saw the good in everyone. Affectionately known as "Nannie" to all, she possessed a nurturing heart and adopted everyone as her own, extending her love and care far beyond her immediate family.

Jennie had a deep appreciation for all things pretty and colorful, especially flowers, which brought her immense joy. She was also a big sports fan, passionately supporting her beloved Houston Astros, Texans, and Rockets. A cherished member of the Golden Oldies and a proud Hull-Daisetta Alumni, Jennie held a special place in her heart for her hometown, often proclaiming that "all good girls come from Hull-Daisetta." Her traditional values and loving nature left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Jennie is survived by her loving children, Jonee Haines, John Haynie, Jr., and Charles Haynie. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren, Brandi Bartell, Julie Hutchinson and husband Nate, Lance Haynie and wife Katherine, Charlotte Alexander and husband Reid, and Grace Haines and husband Cedric Juhens. Her great-grandchildren, Colby Maughan and wife Brittany, Kaitlyn Fisher and husband Hayze, Kaycee Maughan, Brandon Maughan and wife Diamond, Jaden Maughan, Lexi Maughan, Arianna Bartell and husband Dontrey McClain, Hildi Hutchinson, Jake Hutchinson, Heidi Hutchinson, Holly Hutchinson, Sam Haynie, Jake Haynie, Nolan Alexander, Sunny Alexander, and Adarius Adams, will forever cherish her memory. Jennie was also blessed with great-great-grandchildren, Madelyn Maughan, Cohen Maughan, Birdie Maughan, Hollis Fisher, Magnolia Fisher, Stella McClain, Ayden, and Henry.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Haynie; her parents, Charlie and Fannie Mae Sadler; her daughter, Linda Woods Bartell; her grandson, Brad Bartell; her brother, Alvin Sadler; her sister, Charlie Mae Sadler; and her lifelong best friend, Margaret Murphy, who was more like a sister.

Jennie's warm embrace, infectious spirit, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will continue to bloom brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be John Haynie, Jr., Colby Maughan, Brandon Maughan, Jaden Maughan, Hayze Fisher, and Dontrey McClain.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Haynie, Andrae Cadoree, Dusty Garrett, and Adarius Adams.
