Joan Evon Lilley Bramlett, 79, passed away on August 7, 2025, in Beaumont, Texas. Born on March 13, 1946, in Woodville, Texas, Evon was a beacon of love and light in the lives of those around her.
Evon - a beautiful soul with lots of personality! (or Bonnie to those closest to her) was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was warm and kind, but feisty too. She had no problem speaking her mind. She was also very protective of her family. She first married young and always enjoyed helping with teenagers, especially when her own kids were teens. Evon was an excellent cook; her family and friends loved her holiday meals (especially her chicken and dumplings made from scratch)! Evon’s life wasn’t easy at times; she experienced great loss over the years (including her son and first husband), but she loved God and depended on Him to see her through. He even gave her an extended family to cherish with her second husband.
Evon is survived by her husband, David Bramlett; her son, David Jerry Bramlett Jr.; her daughters, Peggy Burns and husband John Mosher, Loretta McWilliams and husband Brandon; her sister, Lois Tubbs Walton; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Coty Burns and wife Traci, Renia Burns, Carrie Burnett and husband Michael, Laura Clements and husband Benjamin, Leslie Wiggins and husband Samuel, and Michael Holmes. Additionally, she is adored by her great-granchildren, Alexis Burns, Ami Burns, Laci Burns. Akira Clements, Vaniell Clements, Benjamin Clements Jr., Ryleigh Holmes, Kyleigh Wiggins, and Skyleigh Wiggins; in laws Patricia Getsinger and husband Kenneth, Peggy Haggard, Joyce Bounds, and Gaines Bramlett. Evon is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Edward Tubbs; her mother, Daisy Pearl Squier; her son, Bubba Lilley; her late husband, Alvin Lilley; her brothers, Luis Tubbs, Troy Tubbs, and Ernest Tubbs; her sisters, Evelyn Littlejohn and Elsie Boles; son in law, Earl Burns; in laws, Sandra Garner, and Larry Bramlett.
