JW's passions extended beyond his profession; he had a deep love for motorcycles, particularly Harley-Davidsons, and enjoyed wrestling, westerns, and reading Louis L'Amour books. His life revolved around the joys of family, and he was especially fond of his grandchildren, with whom he shared countless cherished moments.

JW was also a loving grandfather to Brody, Lorelai, Codie, Briana, Jason, Chase, Gabrielle, Matera, Railee, MacKenzley, Remitynn, Parklynn, Kaisen, Axel, Lexi, Karsyn, and Kolter, as well as a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his dad and mother, Ray and Vada Mae Childers; his daughter, Lindsey Denise Blaylock; his son, Terry Wayne "Toot" Rountree; his brothers, Paul Michael Blaylock and Danny Ray Childers; and his father and mother-in-law, Charles and Genevieve Caruthers.
