On April 28,2025 Kay Larkin Dennison, passed peacefully into the gates of heaven with her family by her side, after a long battle with dementia. To know Kay was to truly love her. She was the life of the party anywhere she went. You would rarely see her without a good laugh. Kay was a daddy’s girl through and through. She had a caring heart that most people don’t see these days. She always made sure everyone else was taken care of first, from feeding her dad’s soybean field workers to her kids and grandkids and their friends. She was known as “Nanny” to almost everyone she met.
Kay was proud of her family. She would never miss a game, cow show, or whatever else they were involved in. She was always their biggest fan. She always made you feel special, whether you were her client or just a friend. On your birthday she would never fail to wish you happy birthday in her most famous version of the happy birthday song. It was truly special.
Kay loved to spend time with her friends dancing. She was so full of personality that everyone wanted to be around her. Many called her “Kay Baby”.
Her personality was bright, like her favorite color. You would rarely catch her not wearing something neon.
Kay was loved by so many. Her family invites you to wear neon or bright colors and celebrate her life on May 1, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Faith and Family Funeral Home, Batson, Texas. Private burial to follow.

Left to cherish her bright memory is her daughters, Felicia Worthy and husband Jim, Deann Rives and husband Mikey, Buddie Smart and husband David, her significant other Johnny Gonzalez. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Aimee Flores and husband Pablo, Andrew West and wife Brooke, Kale Rives and wife Carley, Kennedy Fregia and husband Bryce, Dylon Smart and fiancé Stevi Rutherford, and Makinnley Smart.
