A Life Remembered

Obituary

Lamar Shelton Bear, born December 4, 2003, in Cleveland, Texas, passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 22.

Lamar was a great kid, known for his hardheaded but sweet nature and his athletic spirit. He had a vibrant personality, a playful sense of humor, and a deep love for life. He enjoyed gaming and was a talented dancer. His loyal companion, Hennessy, held a special place in his heart. He also loved the family dog, Poncho, whom he enjoyed aggravating—and Poncho, in turn, loved every bit of the attention.

Family was at the center of Lamar’s life. He cherished riding his motorcycle with his dad and spending time with his cousin, Lane. He loved hanging out with his family and doing things with his mom, always making sure he knew where she was and what she was up to. Lamar had a notable sweet tooth and a fun, mischievous spirit.

One of Lamar’s favorite pastimes was having mini concerts in the car with his sister. Their go-to song was “Let It Go” by Keyshia Cole, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

Lamar is survived by his loving parents, Aaron and Misty Bear; his sisters, Kaylie Fregia and Abbey Stinnett; his aunts, Kelsey Laird and Nikki Sparks and her husband, Patrick; his uncles, Robert Fregia and his wife, Leslie, and Daniel Fregia; his grandparents, Billy and Debbie Fregia; his nephew, Oliver Choate; and a host of beloved cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cecil Tanner; his grandmother, Sissie Tanner; his cousin, Allen Campbell; and his uncle, Ricky Cross.

Lamar will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His laughter, personality, stubbornness, sweetness, and the memories he created with his family will remain in their hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026 between 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas.

My prayers are with the family. I remember Lamar when he was so little playing football in youth sports poor baby was tiny but mighty and seeing him outside playing around when I’d pass by he was a sweet and polite young man always willing to help others. Fly high sweet angel give heaven some hell

The times I enjoyed with Lamar were amazing. From the time he was a little bitty boy, so small his helmet made him fall over in football. All the wins and loses along the way. To the family vacation we took with him, his momma and sister to Galveston. To see him grow into a young man. Seeing him hang around with Eli and running the halls of West Hardin. Always so happy and smiling. I will miss him but we will forever have the memories of his beautiful smile.
