Madeline Marie Thibodeaux, affectionately known as “Bull” by her siblings, peacefully departed this life on August 27, 2025, in Liberty, Texas, at the age of 84. Born on August 7, 1941, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Madeline was a remarkable woman whose spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. She possessed a unique ability to draw people in and make them feel at home, never meeting a stranger but rather embracing all with her generous heart.

Madeline was the definition of a loving mother and devoted family member. She took immense pride in her cooking, delighting in whipping up meals that brought joy to her family. She created special homemade cookbooks for each of her children, filled with cherished recipes like a legacy of love passed down through generations. Baking was not just a hobby for Madeline; it was a passion, and her baked goods often became a beloved treat among friends and family. She absolutely loved to sew and crochet, it was a passion that brought her happiness and allowed her to express her creativity. Each stitch she made was crafted with care, and the colors and patterns brought her projects to life. Whether she was working on a cozy blanket or a delicate scarf, her heart was in every piece she created.

Her unwavering strength of will was evident in everything she did. Not only was she a strong personality, but she was also a steadfast woman of faith who devoted her life to God. Her day-to-day routine often intertwined with studying the Bible, reflecting her deep commitment to her beliefs. Madeline lived her life as a testament to her faith, imparting spiritual wisdom and love to those around her.

Madeline was married to George Thibodeaux for an incredible 51 years, a partnership founded on love and mutual respect. She is survived by her loving children: son George Thibodeaux and wife Cathy; daughters Angela Doucet and husband Scott; Estella Helen "Ellie" Thibodeaux, and Mary Walls and husband Roy Wayne Jr.; along with her cherished brother Douglas Benoit and sisters Phyllis Bartlett, Elizabeth Gautreaux and husband Greg, and Priscilla Gorski. Madeline's family also includes numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, each of whom carry forward her indelible legacy.

Though Madeline is reunited with those who have gone before her, including her parents Wilton and Helen Benoit, her beloved husband George Thibodeaux, her daughter Lorie Ann Buchanan, and brother Dennis Benoit, her spirit remains alive in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas. The Funeral Service will follow that day at 11:00 am, officiated by Pastor Clint Sylvester. After the service, burial will take place at Cooke Memorial Cemetery in Liberty, Texas, at 2:00 pm.

In recognition of her remarkable life, her pallbearers will be George Thibodeaux, Roy Walls, Greg Gautreaux, Wayne Wood, Keith Bartlett, Jaime Guzman, John Coleman, Kennith Muchow and John Puryear. Honorary pallbearers are Jeffery Walls, Edward Walls, Holden Thibodeaux, Charles "Trey" Braddock and Christopher Thibodeaux; honoring her memory with deep respect. Madeline Marie Thibodeaux leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, faith, and kindness that will continue to inspire those who seek to follow in her footsteps.
