Margaret Elizabeth Stringer, a beloved member of the community, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in Hull, Texas. Born on July 2, 1934, in Batson, Texas, Margaret exemplified kindness and generosity throughout her life.
Margaret was known for her big heart and willingness to help others. In her earlier years, she cherished the moments spent with her late husband, Earnest, as they visited nursing homes to sing for residents. These visits were not just performances; they were acts of love that brought joy and smiles to many faces. Her passion for caring extended especially to children, with a particular fondness for babies, which illuminated her nurturing spirit.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lena Dempsey, and her brother, Lloyd Dempsey. Their memories will be cherished by all who knew them. She is survived by a host of family members and friends.
Margaret is deeply missed and remembered not only for her loving nature but also for the positive impact she had on the lives of others. The family acknowledges with special gratitude the staff at Fairy's Landing for their excellent care and compassion during Margaret’s final days.
A graveside service will be held in her honor on May 14, 2025, at Guedry Cemetery, located at 11713 Batson Prairie Road, Batson, Texas, starting at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Coby Elliott with interment to follow. Friends and family are invited to join in paying their respects and celebrating Margaret’s remarkable life.
