Michael Anthony Moretti, 64, of Rye, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026. He was born on January 17, 1962, in Queens, New York, and lived a life filled with a deep love for the outdoors, a passion for craftsmanship, and, above all, an unwavering devotion to his family.
Michael found great joy in the outdoors. An avid fisherman, he found peace and happiness on the water, while hunting deer and ducks was another favorite pastime. He was also a talented and skilled craftsman, taking great pride in his work and leaving his mark on many beach houses he built at Crystal Beach, a place he dearly loved and enjoyed spending time.
Above all else, Michael was a devoted family man. He shared 25 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Cindy Moretti. His daughter, Rachelle, and his grandsons, Hayden and Rhylan Morgan, were his greatest treasures and truly held his whole heart. One of Michael's recent dreams was fulfilled when he purchased a new boat. Although he was only able to enjoy a few outings on it with his family, those precious moments created memories they will cherish forever.
Michael is survived by his beloved mother, Constance Waters; his devoted wife of 25 years, Cindy Moretti; his cherished daughter, Rachelle Moretti; his brother, Anthony Michael Waters and wife, Lauri; his uncle, Frederick K. Moretti; and his adored grandsons, Hayden and Rhylan Morgan. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will deeply miss his presence and the memories they shared with him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth F. Moretti.
Cremation is under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services.
Michael will be remembered for his skilled hands, his love of outdoors, his passion for his work, and most of all, the love and devotion he had for his family.
