Robert Eugene “Bob” Cranford Jr., 67, born on September 16, 1956, in Houston, Harris County, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on September11, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with debilitating illnesses.
Bob was a proud graduate of Kountze High School, class of 1975. Shortly after high school, he embarked on a career as a mechanic and businessman. He later retired from Assurion, where he served admirably as a training supervisor. His professional journey was marked not only by his skill and dedication but also by his ability to touch the lives of those around him.
Bob was a multi-talented individual with a diverse array of hobbies. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars, showcasing his mechanical prowess and respect for the artistry they represent. A marksmanship enthusiast, he also found solace in playing the guitar, which he began practicing at a young age. His love for music was profound, particularly in the genres of blues and country, where he truly expressed himself and connected with others.
Gardening brought him joy as well, and he cherished every moment spent nurturing his plants. However, it was his time with family that meant the most to him. Bob had a deep sense of faith and a generous heart that endeared him to many. He delighted in spending time with his beloved grandbabies, nieces, and nephews, creating joyful memories that would last a lifetime.
Bob's kind and giving nature made him a beloved figure among family and friends. His passing has left a significant void in their hearts, one that speaks to the love and light he spread throughout his life.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Eugene Cranford Sr., and Clara Louise Gates Cranford. He is survived by his wife, Angela Cranford; son, R. Jonathon Cranford and wife Bethany; sister, Lisa Whisenant and husband Troy; stepchildren, Sean E., Phillip A. and wife Ashlee, and Tristan; grandchildren, Ryan, Travis and Oliver; brother in laws, Trevor and wife Samantha, and Barney Wiggins; sister in law, Jennifer; nephews, Troy Jr., wife Monica and children, Wyatt, wife Lucy and children, Brian, wife Rayna and children, Byron “BoBo”, wife Tye and children, Ely, and Dustin; nieces, Tarra, husband Brady and children, Ashilyn, husband Kyler and children, and Tayla.
A visitation will be held on September 16, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Faith & Family Funeral Services, located at 40847 Texas 105, Batson, TX 77519. A funeral service will follow on September 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Brent Haddow at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 8622 Highway 418 W, Silsbee, TX 77656.
