We are saddened to announce the passing of Roy Joseph Leon, 81, on September 4, 2025. He was born on September 30, 1943, to the late Hazel Leon and Norris Leon.
Roy was a truly special man, known for his tireless work ethic and his generous, caring heart. He was a devoted Husband, Father & Grandfather, always putting their needs first and filling their lives with warmth and support. He grew up learning the value of honesty and hard work, qualities that stayed with him all his life. Whether helping a neighbor, providing for his loved ones, or taking pride in his daily work, he gave his best in everything he did.
Roy was a beloved husband, parent, and grandparent, always ready with a kind word and a steady hand. He enjoyed simple pleasures—spending time in his shop, eating Memaw’s cooking, and being with his family, in his younger years he loved to hunt. Roy’s greatest joy was his family, and he will be remembered for the love, strength, and guidance he shared with them throughout his life. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Roy is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Leon; his children Richard Leon Sr. and wife Becky, Roy Leon III, and Douglas Leon and wife Vanessa. He is also survived by his grandchildren TJ Gonzalez, Douglas Leon Jr., Richard Dale Leon Jr., Coby Dale Leon, Ashley Ketchum, Logan Leon, Shyanne Pina, and Jessica Crocker, along with his great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father Norris Leon, his mother Hazel Leon & his brother Wilton Leon.
