Tommy "Tiger" Tousha

November 13, 1968 — June 3, 2024

Tommy “Tiger” Tousha, 55, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 13, 1968, in Dayton, TX. to the late Tommy Gene Tousha and Curley Lee Maxey, and was raised in the Liberty area, where he remained his entire life.

Tiger was a lifelong member of Pentecostal Tabernacle.

Tiger was a proud Marine dad and a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 5621 in Liberty, Tx.

To say Tiger knew a lot of people would be a drastic understatement, as Tiger knew no strangers – whether he met them in town or in his home for the first time. The first time you met Tiger was a lasting impression, to say the least.

Tiger’s career for most of his life was in the oilfield. It didn’t matter what company he was with at the time, he gave 110% all the time. Tiger was a rig runner and one of the best. Not only was the oilfield his job, but it was a conduit to meeting some of his life-long friends.

He was an avid fisherman. Although he did hunt in his younger years, all knew that his true passion was for the water. When asked if he was a hunter, his answer was always, “Yup…I’m hunting a place to fish.”

He loved to play pool, debatably the best. If you played a game with Tiger, you would not be surprised if you lost – because he didn’t lose too often.

Anyone that was close to Tiger would also know about his passion for the Dallas Cowboys – every year, football season would start the same way – with Tiger saying, “We’re going to the Super Bowl” or “How ‘bout them Cowboys?”

Even with all these passions, his greatest passion of all was his family.

Tiger was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to gather around family and spend time with them. Most of all, his wife of 37 years. Even though some said that their marriage would never last, Tiger was more than happy to prove them wrong.

Tiger is preceded in life by his mother, Tiny Tousha, his father, Tommy Gene Tousha, his brothers, Johnny Tousha and Shaun Tousha, and his sister, Becky Jean Tousha.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Renee Tousha, step-sisters, Barbara Nugent and Husband Wayne and Virginia Hill and Randy, his sons, Rusty Tousha, Dusty Tousha and wife Hunter, Jr Tousha and wife Marsha, James “BamBam” Tousha and girlfriend Erica, Nick Tousha and girlfriend Caidence, and Isaac Young, his grandchildren Robert, William, Annaleigh, Trinity, Kolten, Dally, Breagan, Rhys, Bailee, and Dalton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
