IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Trevor Lee
Thayer
February 18, 1968 – November 19, 2025
Trevor Lee Thayer, a loving husband, dedicated father, cherished Papa, and respected member of the community, passed away on November 19, 2025, in Washington. Born on February 18, 1968, in Zion, Illinois, Trevor built a life characterized by his strong family values and a deep love for those around him.
His career in pipeline construction with various contractors, the most recent being Hanging H Co., was marked not just by his dedication to his work, but also by the loyalty and respect he garnered from colleagues and friends alike. Trevor possessed a presence that could easily intimidate those who did not know him; however, to those fortunate enough to be close, he was a fountain of love, wisdom, and quiet strength. While he was a man of few words, except for the occasional “huh”, every spoken sentiment carried weight and authenticity, as he expressed his feelings and beliefs through actions and intentions.
Trevor cherished his role as a grandfather, showering affection and attention on his grandchildren. The love he had for them was evident in every playful interaction and every shared moment. He took great joy in being present for his wife and his children. The bond they shared was filled with moments of laughter, love, and cherished memories.
Outside of his family life, Trevor pursued his hobbies passionately. He found joy in golfing, working diligently in his career, and indulging in his love for grilling and barbecuing. He also liked to tinker with old vehicles. He had rebuilt a few over the years.
Known as a protector and confidant, Trevor was a man whose loyalty and consistent presence could always be relied upon. His commitment to his family and community extended to his involvement as a Mason in Kountze, Texas, where he earned the respect and admiration of many.
Trevor is survived by his beloved wife, Teresa Thayer, and their children, Samantha Thayer, and her partner Tyler Nance, along with Payton Thayer. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Joslynn Nance, and Tucker Nance, who undoubtedly will carry forward his spirit. Trevor also adored his numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, imparting his wisdom and affection to each of them.
Trevor was preceded in death by his parents, Gene E. Thayer and Patsy LeMoine, along with his sister Angela Dawn, whose love shaped the man he became. His absence will be felt deeply not only by his family but by all who had the privilege of knowing him. A quiet giant and a protector at heart, Trevor's loyalty and consistent presence made him a cornerstone in the lives of many. He was always there to offer the best advice, grounded in love and thoughtfulness.
